Machine round dies run in a machine holder or die head rather than a hand die stock. Body dimensions, concentricity and tool material matter more, because the die is fed under power and the thread has to repeat across a production run. This range covers metric coarse-thread dies, general-purpose HSS dies and HSSE M35 cobalt dies.
Tool material is usually the deciding factor. HSS suits a wide range of general workshop and production work, while cobalt HSSE grades hold their edge better on stainless, higher-alloy and harder workpiece materials.
