These HSS-E cobalt machine taps are available from M3 to M16 with spiral-point or spiral-flute geometry. The two flute styles allow buyers to match chip flow to the hole type and production process.
Available configuration
- Material option: HSS-E cobalt high-speed steel
- Size range: M3-M16
- Geometry options: spiral point or spiral flute
- Application: machine tapping of compatible metals
Choosing the flute style
Spiral-point taps generally push chips forward and are commonly selected for through holes. Spiral-flute taps lift chips toward the shank and are commonly selected for blind holes. Workpiece material, hole depth and coolant conditions must also be considered.
RFQ information
Provide the thread size and pitch, tolerance requirement, workpiece alloy and hardness, hole type, thread depth, machine type and expected quantity. This information is needed to confirm geometry and any coating option.
Ordering and customization
When requesting a quote, specify the required thread system or size range, material preference, quantity, packaging and marking requirements. Drawings, samples or a target-market specification help us confirm the correct configuration.
